Patio set is ready.for summer!

Just an update on a patio set I completed.  It started its life as 3 chairs that I, and the person who gave them to me, thought were probably teak.  As it turned out, I think parts of the chairs might be teak, but other parts were just rickety old veneered wood.

But, I had a plan to bring them back to life - and I think this set turned out really nice!  I even dragged out my sewing machine and made some cushions for it.  I don't sew much anymore, but these will do until someone buys it and replaces the cushions with something that better matches their decor or style!

I have these listed for $75.  If they don't sell, they'll be donated to St. Louise de Merrilac's Frontier Days and will be either be available in their boutique booth or at their silent auction.

This is a big seller on my Etsy Shop.  It's very reasonably priced compared to similar trays I've seen on Etsy, which may be the reason I've sold so many of them.  But, with shipping costs as high as they are, I try to keep my price low enough that if someone purchases this, they can still afford to have it shipped.

This past week I had a request for 7 of them.  No problem, I had 2 already made and would just need to purchase lumber and let it dry out for a week or so, then I could make the other 5 and ship out the order.  Except, that was a problem - my buyer needed them for a shower being held just 5 days from when she made the inquiry.  And, she lived in the south!  So, no go.  But, she loved them.  Well, what do you do in that case???  Me?  I told her how to make them herself!  Detailed instructions, colors of stains, where to find the best price on handles.  Everything!  She was so excited.  I did ask her to send me pictures of hers when she was finished - and maybe she will.  The shower was yesterday.

I was happy knowing she could get what she really wanted.  And, I hope everyone enjoyed their gift!
